Princess Marguerite

  • Before

A finely crafted, but unfinished model of this ship, was contracted to me by the wife if the builder who had passed away. The ship model had no railings, super structure or anchors and had filler exposed in many unfinished areas.

  • During Restoration

The hull was constructed of yellow cedar with birch supper structure and measured 5.5 feet long. I had to dismantle the decks to start a proper restoration.

  • Decks and Railings

Each deck area was sanded and varnished. Hundreds of stanchions were turned to feed railings through. Steam bent wood cap rails were installed and varnished.
