Before
A finely crafted, but unfinished model of this ship, was contracted to me by the wife if the builder who had passed away. The ship model had no railings, super structure or anchors and had filler exposed in many unfinished areas.

During Restoration
The hull was constructed of yellow cedar with birch supper structure and measured 5.5 feet long. I had to dismantle the decks to start a proper restoration.

Decks and Railings
Each deck area was sanded and varnished. Hundreds of stanchions were turned to feed railings through. Steam bent wood cap rails were installed and varnished.

Upper Decks
Deck cabin windows masked for painting.

Boat Deck
Final adjustments to restore boat deck. Deck sanded and varnished (satin) and davits to be painted white.

Life Boats
All life boats painted and covers applied except one, it was kept open.

Upper Decks
Cabins, davits and winches painted and ready for upper deck to be installed.

Port Quarter Deck
Wheelhouse and upper deck to be re-finished and railings have to be constructed on forward promenade deck. Rigging started.

All decks on, reconditioned lifeboats in place and railings to be constructed
